What about the NON turbo 2.0 from KIA/Hyundai? That is found in the Soul and Elantra? Besides carbon build up cause it's GDI but otherwise fairly reliable?? Are the newer non turbos more reliable?

I have had 5 Hyundai's, they are not that bad, gar superior to most luxury vehicles in reliability. Never had any of the problems you have listed. Unlike shit American cars.

Mercedes quality went downhill after the financial crisis

The 2GR engine timing chain cover / oil leak issue. I was ready to buy a used RX350 with about 57,000 miles on it. Total price out the door was almost 29,000. Before going to pick it up I started remembering the 6 cyl engines had issues and looked up the oil seeping problem. If you are unlucky (some owners say all will be unlucky) you won't have the problem. But that inexpensive part will cost you $3,000 to $4,000 to stop your car from dripping on your driveway. Why? Because to replace that gasket on the cover requires the engine removal. Think I'll pass on that 6 Cyl RX350, I'm not in the roulette wheel mood today. I think that manufacturers have stopped that longevity chart and turned the wave downward.

There's actually quite a few reports of defects and poor quality coming from Hyundai/ Kia in western europe. But it seems they're getting less help and coverage than those in NA, its really only eastern europe models that seem to have less problems.

I love my 2018 Tucson 59K Miles that I've had since new that had 5 yr. 60K bumper to bumper and 100K 10 yr with no issues. Should I get rid of it?

Lets be honest cars before the B58 B57 were and still are a dumbster fire. Too many of them just blow up at ~100k + miles. I'd stay away. I am happy if they have better quality now.
